The Expertool platform is a Universal Knowledge Modeling Environment that delivers a unique combination of modeling scope, power and simplicity. The software is optimized for:
- Capturing, integrating and reusing human cognition and expertise
- Design and construction of complexity management solutions
- Enabling discovery by means of stochastic modeling and analysis of complex systems
- Code-free construction of neural networks, including quantitative and qualitative information and methods
Model construction is point-and-click and expression specification, and core methods can be instantly implemented by a wizard. Data is imported from Excel and text files, or can be updated systematically via the API.
Leveraging well established research on the differences between the problem-solving approaches of experts and novices, the modeling interface is designed to be used by senior professionals and scientists to define their understanding of knowledge domains, as well as to construct multidisciplinary models, expertise repositories and expert applications which can be integrated with expernal systems via the API.
Our design requirements were driven by complexity management gaps in the available technology. Common modeling tools and technologies are illustrated on the right (click to enlarge), on axes that represent their capability limitations and tradeoffs. Interaction Scope(modeling complex interactions across diverse abstract and granular domains) is a significant capability gap of all traditional tools.
